Easy do-it-yourself recipe for Myanmar snack_traditional delicacy.

Glutinous Rice – 3 tins
Rice – 1 tin
Brown Jaggery – 25 ticals
Salt – to taste
Peanut – 5 ticals
Sesamum Seed – to garnish
Oil – 25 ticals
Shredded Coconut – to garnish

Note: 1 tical = 1% of a viss

 

 

 

How to do it

Firstly soak the Glutinous Rice and Rice together for around 5 hours and finely ground and drain it.
Put the Brown Jaggery into the warm water and set aside.
Mix the Glutinous Rice and Brown Jaggery water.
Put Shredded peanut and Sesamum seed into it and stir well.
Heat the pan and put the oil.
When the oil is cooked, fry one cup of mixed Glutinous rice.
Fry untill crispy and drain the oil. Fry one after one.
Garnish with shredded coconut.
