Elements by Mamper
Elements by Mamper is a business that sells quality goods.
Its three partners told
TODAY about it as follows…
When started?
Mamper started its operation on 18th March 2015. The business has two parts. One part provides corporate gifts on a wholesale basis and the other part that is Elements by Mamper, is the retail sale of things for everyday use in offices.
The name Mamper …
Mamper though things it sells are from Thailand is a full percent Myanmar company. Mamper is something like a contraction of the words: Marketing Products Myanmar. Another reason for this name is we wish to make it peculiar to us. Mamper also a word that is easy to pronounce for Myanmar as well as for foreigners. The logo is in green, to help make the products appealing to our customers.
Product range …
We sell practically everything you need, including those you might not be aware you need. You can get things made of various materials such as wood, metal, plastic, whatever. We can make brands or logos for your companies. You can get whatever design you want. If you have no idea, we’ll give you the design.
Things now on retail sale are leather-bound books, key chains and Burmese Alphabet Designs. For leather-bound books we have three designs in three different colours. In the Alphabet series we have four different designs for book, scarf, key chain and shoulder bag. There’s a wide range of colours for key chains.
Production?
Mamper is the sole agent for Thai products. For our local client companies we make logos for products they sell to foreigners. We made those logos with local Myanmar handicraft characteristics.
The aim…
The aim of Mamper is to make one’s brands well-known to people by marking them part of the products sold.
We often wonder why Thailand, our close neighbors can make good-quality products and why we can’t do that. We went to Thailand where we took a look round some of our suppliers’ factories and we implied that knowledge to our Myanmar suppliers. Our aim is to co-operate with our local SMEs to provide our customers with better-quality products.
Any new projects …
We’ve now begun to produce goods that have Burmese alphabets as their main features and that could be appealing to people, young and old, and to foreigners as souvernirs.
How much, how sold?
Currently Elements by Mamper sell its goods only online. Leather key chains are sold at 5,000 kyats. Leather books are sold at 20,000 kyats. Pieces of refilling paper are available for as little as 3,000 kyats. As a first step we’ve planned to sell Burmese Alphabet series at souvenior shops in places of tourist attraction. We hope we’ll be able to open our first special shop in Thailand.
