New York, 28 Sept—A meeting on women in Myanmar’s economy took place on Thursday at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, here, discussing the women’s capacity and opportunities, as well as importance of their role in society.

Union Minister at the President Office U Soe Thane also discussed the expanding role of women in the new government.

Departmental officials, Myanmar entrepreneurs, women business founders also attended the meeting.
