Yangon, Myanmar (November 4, 2014) – A launching event of “The Rangoon Bar” was held at Rangoon Bar, Peperoni Pizzeria, Union Business Centre (UBC) Annex B, Nat Mauk Road, Bo Cho Quarter, Bahan Township, Yangon. In a swelling boomtown of cocktail connoisseurs among the surge of expats and newly affluent youth, sprouts the latest hotspot by Singapore’s award-winning Les Amis Group and Yangon’s MFFT Group; The Rangoon Bar.
As it is named “Rangoon Bar”, it cannot be deniable that there must be lost of glamorous things concentrated in this place like Yangon City. Mr. Jeff Ho, Singaporean mixologist will establish this bar as the one and the only. Mr. Jeff Ho is one of the pioneers of bespoke cocktail scene in Singapore. In 2014, Drinks World Asia awarded him as Singapore Top 25 Bartenders.
Bringing Yangon’s first fun punchbowl cocktails serving groups of between 6 to 12 friends, The Rangoon Bar offers a new culture with unrivaled selection of mixes crafted by none other than Singapore’s cocktail maestro Mr. Jeff Ho, each of his creative punchbowls for Rangoon Bar come with witty spins of stories behind each concoction.
Apart from Signature punchbowls, whiskey lovers can relish over a range of soon to be launched Scottish single malts not found anywhere else in Yangon, while nibbling over bar snacks like an assorted cheese platter or spicy chicken wings.
The 2-storey colonial-hip destination boasts a triumvirate of good food and booze by the Les Amis Group, including Peperoni Pizzeria and House of Singapura.
