11 November 2014, Nay Pyi Taw – His Excellency U Thein Sein, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar give opening remark at the opening ceremony of ASEAN Business & Investment Summit 2014 and ASEAN Business Awards. The summit is taking place at Nay Pyi Taw from 11 November to 13 November. The summit, organized annually by ASEAN Business Advisory Council, gathers the region’s leading businesses and leaders from government who are shaping and influencing ASEAN’s economy.

This year six Myanmar companies, Myanmar Airways International (ASEAN Centricity), Kanbawza Bank Limited (Corporate Excellence), FAME Pharmaceuticals Industry Co., Ltd (Innovation), Kelvin Chia Yangon Ltd (Small & Medium Enterprise), City Mart Holding Co., Ltd. (Women Leader) and Blue Ocean Operating Management Co., Ltd (Young Entrepreneur) won the ASEAN Business Awards respectively.
