When first opened and the name
The restaurant was first opened on 16 May 2014, manager Ko John said. The name ADAMAS has nothing to do with the Adaman sea. ADAMAS, a Greek word, means diamond. Diamond has a sparkling colour. We wish to see the restaurant sparkle with a good name.
Design and decor
It was designed and decorated by Thai engineers under the management of the restaurant owner. It’s a blend of ancient and modern designs.
Foods available
On the menu are Thai foods, Italian foods, Italian coffee, a variety of drinks and juices as well as western liquor.
What’s special about the shop
Thai food is its speciality. Foods are proper and suitable to people from all cultures. The restaurant puts a premium on hygiene and freshness of foods. You can use credit card visa card and similar cards.
Service
No special service except usual service provided by the employees. You can use FE money.
Prices
Seafood specially prepared for about 10 servings is 150,000 kyats. The lowest is 5000 kyats for one serving and the highest is 150,000 kyats.
Customers
Most of the customers are from Thailand. There are also those from Japan, Korea and Europe. Myanmar people are among the customers.
Food preparation
Because it sells seafoods they take care that the foods are clean and also that the kitchen is clean. They also check the ingredients daily for freshness. All the tableware is always kept clean.
Future plan
ADAMAS, though still at its first stage in restaurant business, has a plan to expand further and provide better service, Ko John said.
