Emirates launched a daily service for Dubai to Yangon in Myanmar and Hanoi in Vietnam on 3nd August 2016. When flight EK 388 arrived at Yangon International Airport, it was greeted by a traditional water cannon salute. Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations Far East Mr. Badr Abbas was on board the inaugural flight with a number of senior executives of the airline. They were joined by a VIP delegation that include prominent business leaders as well as media from UAE, GCC and Europe, Utilizing a Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft , this new route will strengthen Emirates’ network  of destination in Southeast Asia, offer a new flight option to passengers travelling between Yangon and Hanoi.
