Merlion Cuisine Hosts Myanmar Media Luncheon
Yangon, Myanmar – Singaporean restaurant Merlion Cuisine hosted Yangon’s top media representatives on Wednesday, July 20th at 3rd floor of Myanmar Plaza. The newly – opened restaurant, specializing in authentic Singaporean cuisine. invited the media to a luncheon featuring popular dishes such as curry fish head, bak kuteh, Hainanese chicken rice , as well as their signature high tea buffet. The tasting menu was personally prepared by Chef Darren Lim, formerly of the 6-star Ritz Carlton in Singapore. Chef Lim is a multiple Gold Award winner in the Food Asia Culinary Challenge and recently volunteered as an assistant in the Hong Kong food awards competition. Owners Ringo Wong and Michelle Leow invited editors, photographers, and other media professionals to enjoy authentic and healthy Singaporean food without MSG. They also shared their views around the growth of the Myanmar food & beverage market, and some business and operations update including the addition of state-of-the-art Q’Son equipment in their restaurant.
