When first opened; its aim
It was first opened on 3 May 2015. Every Novotel Hotel in Asia has The Square restaurant. Its aim is to provide buffet and to make food items available singly.

Menu
Both Asian menu and European menu are available. Also available are Myanmar-style featherback (Fish) soup, Indian Tandoori chicken salad, French salad and desserts. Buffet is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast to invariably has Myanmar traditional mon-hin-ga or vermicelli soup. Lunch buffet and dinner buffet have international foods, besides Myanmar food. Mediterranean food, Japanese food, seafood- all are available.

Chef
In charge of everything about cooking is a Spain chef, Mr Pedro Carrillo, working with his assistant chef and the members of the kitchen staff.

Service
For customer satisfaction the staff explain what customers wish to know about the food for example, suggesting which food goes well with which drink. The shop can arrange for a group dining area for those wishing to have buffet in groups of families or friends-at no extra charge. Customers can opt for set menus.

Price
One set menu costs from USD 40 to 60. Breakfast buffet is 25 dollars per person and dinner buffet is 30. There is a 50 percent service charge.

Patronage
Most of the customers are local people, about 60 percent. Asians and Europeans make up about 20 percent each.

Promotion and discount
On Wednesdays there is a programme called Mediterranean Night that will cost about 30-plus dollars. Starting from dinner time, Spanish, French, Italian, Egyptian and Algeria foods are served. As for free-flow drinks wine and beer are available, as are soft drinks. Tea and coffee are available too. Every friday has a Seafood Night programme that will cost 34-plus dollars a person. On every Sunday you can enjoy the Sunday Brunch programme from 12 noon to 3 in the evening. Discount for Accor Plus Member is 25 percent for one person, 25 for two and 33 for three.
