President U Thien Sein and Prime Minister of Vietnam Mr Nguyen Tan Dung Held a meeting as the sideline meeting of the  24^th ASEAN Summit from 10:00 am to 10:20 am on 11 May,2014. Discussions of the two leaders at the meeting are further cementing of friendship between Myanmar and Vietnam, potentials for cooperation in trade, investment, banking and energy sectors. They also exchanged views on peace and stability in the region. Assumed as one of the world last frontier markets, along with the investments of other ASEAN members like Singapore, top investor in Myanmar, and Thailand, more and more investments from the Vietnam are likely to be seen in Myanmar soon.
