Yangon, 1 July__One On One Big Fighting Event managed by Myanmar Lethwei Asiayone with a title sponsorship of M-150 energy drink will take place at Theinbyu gymnasium at 2 pm on 6 July, according to a press conference on 24 June.

A total of 20 fighters from Myanmar and Thailand will take part in the event, said a responsible person of Royal Zarmani that is responsible for organizing the Myanmar-Thailand Lethwei Fight Mega Event.

Seven of ten Thai fighters had met with Myanmar fighters in the ring before, but it will be first opportunity for the remaining three to fight against Myanmar counterparts, he added.

According to the responsible person, tickets for the event are priced at K 15,000, K 30,000 and K50,000  and it is planned to broadcast the event through TV channels.

He continued that is expected to see local and foreign fans at the event. Thai fighters will arrive in Yangon on 5 July, he said.

While taking a floor at the press conference, the MLA secretary told the media persons that plans are underway to organize more Lethwei events in Twantay, Yangon and Toungoo including Golden Belt traditional boxing challenges in September with the aim of nurturing a new generation of Myanmar traditional boxers.
