On 12-12-2014 the International Finance Corporation-IFC, a branch of World Bank, held a press conference at the WB office, No. 57 (B) Pyay Road, Yangon whereon IFC Director for East Asia and Pacific Mr Vivek Pathak and other IFC officials recounted developmental results and prioritized future programmes. Apart from working together with the government to promote job creation, the IFC is focussed on services relevant to infrastructure, financing and business promotion. The IFC is set to provide for USD 3 billion investment over three years related to infrastructure, financing of SMEs, expanded electrification, Law amendments inductive to FDI, and creation of jobs.
