With an investment of USD 60 million the Heineken Brewery, which could produce 330,000 hectoliters of beer, opened with ceremony on 12-7-2015 at its address of No,4 Main Road, Hmawby Township.

Heineken has 165 factories in some 70 countries and IBTC has obtained permission to produce and distribute the beer in Myanmar. Myanmar-produced rice of international standard quality is used in brewing it, it was learnt.
