The first anniversity of Western Union’s entry into Myanmar was held on 9 May 2014 at Park Royal Hotel, Yangon. On the occasion the opening address by the financial firm’s Regional Director Ms Ly Nguyen was followed by an educative Program for would-be migrant workers from Myanmar conducted by International Organization for Migration’s Mr Keran Gorman-Best. Western Union’s  agent banks in Myanmar are Ayeyarwaddy Bank, Myanmar Shaysaung Bank, Myanmar Treasure Bank, Myanmar Oriental Bank, United Amara Bank and Yoma Bank.
