The 14th Dr Tin Shwe Literary Awards were given away with ceremony on 30-1-2016 at Sule Shangri-La Hotel, Yangon. On the occasion U Kyaw Win (Manussa Kyaw Win) of Myanmar Writers Association gave an introductory speech while Col. Tin Kha (Takkatho Tin Kha) presen-ted comments in brief of the winning books. Awardees are: Takkatho Win Mon (Aung Khant); Prof Dr U Aye Myint; Mya Win-Dassana; Htet Aung-Bhamo; and translator Saw Mya Aung for the Chronicle of the Mons @The Collection of Histories of their Pagodas. Dr Tin Shwes’ widow Daw Aye Thant presented Awards selection Committee members with gifts, and older writers with cash donations. Then posing by all for documentary photos followed.
