Bamboo Craft Exhibition at the National Museum, Yangon
The embassy of India, Yangon organized the “Bamboo Craft Exhibition” at the National Museum, Yangon from 16 to 18 March, 2017. A three-member team led by Shri Mutua Bahadur, Academy award winner, an expert of Fine Arts and prominent member of Archaeological Survey of India from Manipur, India displayed their bamboo crafts during the exhibition. Then, Mr. Shri Mutua Bahadur explained about the bamboo crafts displayed in the exhibition. Mr. Shri Mutua Bahadur is credited with books including The Art of Textiles, Traditional Textiles of Manipur, Tribal Hand Woven Fabrics of Manipur, Tribal Hand Woven Fabrics of Manipur, Cane and Bamboo Crafts of Manipur, Potteries of Manipur, etc. In addition to this, an Ambassador of India Embassy of Myanmar H. E. Mr. Vikram Misri talked about the importance and usefulness of bamboo crafts.
