Trade with ITC earns over US$1 billion

THE trade with individual trading card (ITC) has fetched over US$1.67billion in this fiscal year and total of 1,035 ITCs have been issued from the border trade camps of Myanmar, it is learnt from the Ministry of Commerce.

The individual were issued starting in the 2012-2013 fiscal year with the aim of increasing the legal trade volume and eliminating illegal trade. Using the card, exports worth over US$ 271 million were made. While import with ITC’s has amounted to US$1.4 billion.
