Young Sam Baek
General Manager
Sundoo Electronics Co
www.sdtron.co.kr
Our company in Seoul, South Korea, dates back to 1997. Our company mainly producing Gas Leak Detector Monitor and electric app-liances earns USD 2-5 million per year. Our products have not reached ASEAN market yet.
Myanmar is a big natural gas producer, and this first visit of ours is an initial step to technical cooperation as well. Our equipment and devices should contribute towards safety in Myanmar Gas industry. Currently we have won a market in China, Turkey, Thailand and Germany. Soon Myanmar will be part of AEC, and should be at ease doing a lot of business with neighbouring countries. Therefore we have come here seek-ing a profit sharing partner with a good know-ledge of local market. On my visit last year to Thailand I heard the country is buying Myanmar Gas. So we are making an initiative as Myanmar is an emerging country. Now most international companies concentrate on making investments in Myanmar.
Jae-Dong Lim
General Manager
Korea Land & Housing Corporation (KLHC)
Our company is a Public Corporation establish-ed in 1962 in South Korea. Our mission is to build industrial zone, special economic zone, and urban development. We built an industrial zone 650 km wide, and 6.3 percent of the country’s roads. Our operation has been set up in Vietnam and China also. Myanmar is host to most opportunities currently, so we hope to start our investments here. We may well enjoy a lot of economic opportunities. At present we envision creating industrial zones together with MOC through bilateral offers made by South Korea and Myanmar. Myanmar economy will get a boost with new industrial zones filled with factories. Korean industrial plants are prepared to make Myanmar investments in about July. This is my eighth Myanmar visit concerned with industrial zone development. By each visit I have become more aware of Myanmar’s economic development for real. In communication I would like to suggest that wing roads be built in a big city like Yangon.
