Yin 4Yin tribe was a tribe descended from Wa-Palaung group and resided at around Khaythi Fankan and Pin Lon region, southern Shan and hill-villages on the west bank of Than Lwin River. In Yin tribe it also divided into minorities such as Yin Net, Yin Set, and Yin Khyar. Originally, Yin Net tribe was lived firstly at Yunnan Province, China and from there enter-ing into Myanmar, settled down at Munkoun, Kyauk Me region, Northern Shan because of broken out the war, territory disputed fighting between each tribe, and slowly spread residing to the Southern Shan state.
Yin Net christened themselves Ye Yan Lunt which means sort of tribe who wear black dress while Shan tribe named them Yan Lun which means black man in Shan language. But Myanmar called them Yin. Some rather named them Kayin Net. Yin Net also called our Myanmar Ma-Yun.
