The Fourth International Fibres and Textile Machinery Exhibition
Aimed at Myanmar’s continued openness to innovative textile technologies and machinery the Fourth International Fibres and Textile Machinery Exhibition was held on 26-29 June, 2015 at Myanmar Event Park. On the occasion some international exhibitors were interviewed as follows.
TOBOYO Co., Ltd sells sewing machine and spare parts. Headquartered in Hong Kong, it has four subsidiaries in China, and one in Hlinethaya Township, Yangon. Our purpose for participating is to introduce our equipment and products to local businessmen, other foreigners and investors all at one place.
We mainly distribute Japanese-made machines and equipment _ for example, Pegasus, Brother, Mitsubishi and Namato brand sewing machines, machines for button stitching, computerised embroidery, cutting, ironing etc. Organ Needles are suitable in all machines. Spare parts may be Japanese, Taiwanese or Chinese made, counting up to some 10,000 items. In textile or garments in Asia, Myanmar still lags behind Thailand, Cambodia, Bangla-desh and Indonesia, I think.
Ours is an American company opened in Bangladesh. Since 1981 we have been exporting local-produced sewing thread, fibres and embroideries direct to customers. This is our third participation in textile exhibitions in Myanmar. We produce in 23 countries and export from 50 countries, including Bangladesh. Quality control is constant so as to have our products measuring up to world standard. The company has a technical and service division which conducts surveys of customers. We advise customers what to use and how to minimize wastage. This is highly beneficial. We find solutions for customer regarding his problems in sewing machine, thread etc. Myanmar is trying to gain momentum in textile and garment industry yet, but it has prospects to become similarly developed in the sector like Bangladesh.
Our machines are own creations of our company. They are for fixing accessories to Shirt, Pant, Shoe, Belt and Headdress comb. For example, sewing pearls on Wedding Dress. It is mostly done with needle and thread in Myanmar, but a machine saves labour and time apart from better quality. Our company is in Gyeonggido, not far from Seoul, with Agents in Italy, Japan, America and Brazil. The 21-year-old company is in this exhibition for the first time. Designers and textile businessmen take much interest in our products and some have offered to buy. We came through contact with Korean Trade. I think this exhibition will prove good for Myanmar.
We mainly sell technical equipment for textile industry. We participate here to exhibit and sell our products, which include Pattern Software, Printer and Card System used in developing Marker, and Printers. Our factory is in Hong Kong, from which we export. Established in 1980, BOK International Co., ltd has repre-sentatives in Myanmar as well as Indonesia, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. We have had four-year experience in Myanmar, and the tex-tile technologies and machinery have improved gradually all along. Productivity should rise significantly through use of our latest products. A job which took 2-3 hours formerly takes half an hour now. Delivery of our products is door to door, and spare parts can be easily accessed. We are a regular participant in Myanmar textile exhibitions.
Our textile markets are in America and Europe. As to Southeast Asia we are interested in Cambodia and Myanmar. Through this exhibi-tion we should be observing Myanmar market for the first time. SUMEC GROUP TEXTILE & LIGHT INDUSTRY was incorporated as international company in 1995 in Nanjing, China. Businessmen and investors as visitors here is a great help. We have just introduced some 200 items of textiles. I feel good prospects in Myanmar market and opportunities.
