State Bank of India’s representative office in Yangon

The state bank of India, the country’s biggest, declared its Representative Office situated on Alanpya Pagoda Road, Dagon Tsp, open at Sule Shangri-La Hotel event.
On the occasion, regional chief minister U Myint Swe said of his belief that with the arrival here of State Bank of India Representative Office its microfinance, commercial banking and technical expertise should enhance the bilateral investment and trade.
The State Bank of India has more than 16000 branches spread over 36 countries.
At present, the newly enacted Foreign Investment Law appears quite positive while India is No.9 among foreign investors in Myanmar.
