Nay Pyi Taw, Feb- the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has agreed to the appointment of H.E, Mr. Javier Andres BECKER-MARSHELL as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chile to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Mr. Javier Andres BECKER-MARSHELL joined the Chilean Foreign Ministry in 1979 and served in various positions at the Chilean Embassies and Missions in Kenya, Austria, Colombia, Norway, the United States and Switzerland. From 2008 to 2011, he served as Minister Counsellor/Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Chile in Canada. Since 2011 to daye, he has been serving as Chelian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand.

H.E. Mr. Javier Andres BECKER-MARSHELL will serve as concurrent Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar with residence in Bangkok.
