The EU’s EuroChamber Myanmar ceremonially opened on 12 December 2014 at Chatrium Hotel, Yangon. The dignitaries to address the gathering included: EU ambassador HE Roland Kobia; CBM chairman U Set Aung, UMFCCI vice-chairman Dr Maung Maung Lay; economic advisor to the President Prof. Dr Aung Htun Thet, and French-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FMCCI) Chairman Mr Julien Esch. Based on an initial capital of Euro 2.7 million from EU, EuroChamber will be led by FMCCI and participated by other such chambers from Belgium, Italy and Hungary, let alone support from EU companies and UMFCCI.

As part of the event a workshop on “Doing Business in Myanmar from EU Perspective” was held EuroChamber should be able to con-tribute to a flourishing CSR and sharing of good management practices, it was discussed
